Emergency response and failure investigation.
FSG maintains response capability from offices in Victoria, Queensland and Western Australia. Upon mobilisation, our team of over 10 x RMS and TMR accredited Slope Risk Assessors assess immediate hazards, establish safety exclusion boundaries, and carry out the risk assessments and investigations required to determine failure mechanisms. Where conditions require, our team of 4 x IRATA Level 1 Rope Access Engineers or Drone Pilots, can be employed to undertake limited access inspections or support contractors undertaking slope stabilisation work.
We evaluate the risk of secondary movement across adjacent assets, providing local authorities with the data needed to prioritise high-risk remediation works.
Stabilisation design and DRFA recovery projects.
FSG designs stabilisation solutions for failed slopes in road corridors, railway embankments, urban environments and natural slopes threatening infrastructure. We have extensive experience developing practical and constructible solutions that respond to our client’s challenges. Our approach is based on our teams' significant geological knowledge and understanding of past failures within the road network, which allows failure mechanisms, site constraints, and the long-term maintenance obligations of the asset owner, to be properly addressed.
We work with local councils, state road authorities, contractors and other asset owners on DRFA infrastructure recovery projects, carrying out the investigation and design required for DRFA-funded reconstruction.
