We are delighted to welcome Dr Ian Van Wijk to the FSG Team. Ian will be based in our Brisbane office and has more than 35 years’ experience in all aspects of pavement engineering and maintenance. His areas of expertise include the use of non-destructive in-situ testing methods (such as the FWD) and sustainability considerations in the assessment and design of pavements. Ian is conversant with Australian pavement design procedures and also has extensive experience in the design of heavy-duty Industrial (inter-modal) pavements and rail capping layers. He will continue in his role as Adjunct Professor at the University of Queensland where he is involved in industry leading research and mentoring of the next generation of engineers.
